Local authorities commended the 62-year-old Bon Jovi frontman for his assistance to a woman who was perilously near to the bridge on Tuesday night.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has stated that the incident took place while Bon Jovi and his crew were on the bridge, presumably filming a music video, as evidenced by other footage that has been circulating on social media.
